Kharian Region

Regional Office Kharian was established at Mangla in 1981 with the responsibility of managing 32 schools and 5 colleges located at Mangla, Kharian, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Jhelum, Sargodha and Shorkot. Later in 1990, another Regional Office was incepted at Gujranwala for management of institutions at Gujranwala, Sialkot and Sargodha. Currently, Regional Office Kharian looks after 14 FGEIs located at Kharian and Mangla with 174 faculty members and 6816 students. The oldest institution of the region is FG Public School Mangla, established in 1952.
